Prayer with a step out in faith

Its the raining season for sunny Singapore, apparently my class has decided to have an outing
at Sentosa(beach). No idea how such a decision had came about, as always God always has a hand in it.

Cutting the story short, soon we were at Sentosa. No doubt it was cloudy and going to rain.
So we started playing volley ball and stuff like that. Then it was time for lunch, and it started to drizzle. Causing us to evacuate to the pavilion and have some games there.

Before that my classmate(new believer i shared Christ with), said " I heard if people gathered to pray to ask for the rain to stop, it will stop" That moment in time, i felt encouraged by her words, that a new believer would share with something like that. Especially when before that i was saying things like "Sometimes God allow things(rain even though we pray) to happen because He has a greater will to be done" I did not even have the thought of praying together just to commit it to God at least. (God did say ask and you shall receive)

After hearing what she said i decided to take a step out. I went to gather the Christians in my class to pray together. Honestly, to me praying as a group in front of my other classmates could be slightly nerve wrecking. As i suppose i do feel there are people who very critical at Christians and things like that.

But as the bible says in Luke 9:26:
If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

So i cannot be ashamed of my faith, we prayed and i arrowed my teacher to close in prayer for us.(Well he was older.. haha) We continued with our activites after that.
Less than 10 minutes after our prayers, it stopped! Praise the lord! God indeed showed His sovereign power over everything. There was even a bit of sun, as i did have a bit of a tanned after that.

End of the day, i hope everyone understood that God holds everything. No one can deny and say He does not exist after seeing what He can do. Like for the outing, why would anyone plan a beach outing in a raining season? You may make the decision but He is still in control.
I hope those who believe in Jesus will not be ashamed of Him but take the step of faith for Him and be bold.

To those who do not believe in Christ, you may not accept it or whatever that is holding you back. God can create miracles and have control over all, but He wants people to make their own conscious decision to accept Him.

Fight the good fight my brothers and sisters in Christ.
