42 or 43 would be more accurate.
I crashed into a curb in front of a lamp post and bushes filled with thorns.
Thank God for the heightened senses(spider senses some might say) i adverted danger.
God be praised.
It happened as i was returning home and i was on a straight road near my home. A road that i liked to have short sprints. As i took a turn and got onto that particular road i took a look around and noticed there were no cars. So, i was thinking "Hey no cars! Chiong!" Then i did.
I kept my eye on the cyclometer and it went like, 20, 26, 32, 40, 42, 43. Then the bend came, i turned and realised that i turned too late. In my mind i went "Oh dear."
BANG
I hit the curb and the bike just flew up from behind.
To save myself, i managed to grab the lamp post right in front of the curb and swung.
Yes, i swung. With my left hand oh the handle bar and right hand on the lamp post.
I swung around it and flung my bike to the other side and landed on my feet right beside the lamp post. My first reaction was to see if anyone saw me to avoid embarassment. Haha.
The damage, my bike chain came off and a bit of a scratch on my shin. Thank God again. Haha.
Valuable lesson learned. At high speeds, turn earlier.
